SSN Verification
A SSN check helps verify that applicants are who they claim to be, and helps employers
minimize risk from a fraudulent resume or dishonest credentials. SSN report information may
include, but is not limited to current and former address history, age and/or date of birth,
and county of residence. The SSN trace provides vital information for revealing an
applicant's possible criminal record.
Consent Based SSN Verification
The Consent Based SSN Verification provides information regarding a subject's name and
Social Security Number (SSN). CBSV does not verify identity, citizenship, employment
eligibility, nor does it interface with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) verification
system. CBSV verifications do not satisfy DH's I-9 requirements.
CBSV requires a signed release submitted prior to processing.
